Hands that contain an Ace are considered Soft Hands because the value of that hand can change with the values being 1 or 11 for the Ace. If you draw a soft hand and the three cards including an ace totals more than 21 considering that ace to be worth 11 that will automatically become a hard hand.

Getting Blackjack is when you or the dealer gets an Ace card and a Ten value card. Blackjack is the best possible deal you could get! Blackjack is paid 3 to 2 for your bet if the dealer doesn’t get one as well, if this happens this play is called it a push. To “hit” in the game of Blackjack means that you would like to draw another card. Tapping the table in front of you signals to the dealer that you would like to hit. If you are happy with the first two cards you have been dealt or after hitting, waving your hand over the cards will signal the dealer that you would like to stand.

Doubling Down is when you would like to double your bet after you have received your first 2 cards, after doubling you will receive one more card only on your hand. When placing an additional bet next to your original bet this will signal to the dealer that you would like to double down. When you are dealt a pair which are two cards of the same rank, you can split these into separate hands with this, you must bet additional moneys equal to your initial bet.
